Rick and Christina tied the knot, literally, on a gorgeous March day at the Foxtail Golf Club in Rohnert Park, California, right in the middle of Sonoma wine country. This wedding wasn’t our first out-of-state wedding, but it was the first one where we had to travel by air. We felt so lucky to have been a part of their big day.
The bride and groom did all their getting-ready preparations at the DoubleTree Sonoma Wine Country hotel. The hair and make-up artist left both Christina and her mom looking absolutely flawless and ready for pictures. It was fairly warm that afternoon, and the sun was pretty harsh so we decided to do the first look in the shade of the hotel courtyard.
The wedding was small, with close friends and family in attendance and no bridal party outside of the bride and groom. To complete the nautical theme, the bride and groom included a knot tying ceremony to symbolize their new lives together. There were so many beautiful details that Christina included in their wedding, but my favorite by far was her beautiful cascading bouquet by Grohe Florists.
Probably our favorite part of this trip is the new friendship Jason and I have found in Rick and Christina. They were so hospitable and down-to-earth. We hope to be able to visit them in the Bay Area sometime in the near future!
